Why does ISC Class 11 need regular testing?
CISCE sets the ISC syllabus for Classes 11 and 12 together, and the ISC board exam at the end of Class 12 assumes the Class 11 base is solid. At the same time, Class 11 is a big step up from ICSE: Physics and Mathematics become more abstract, Accounts arrives as a full subject for commerce students, and English Literature expects longer critical answers.
Because the Class 11 exam is a school exam, it is easy to let it slide. Students who do usually pay for it in Class 12, when there is no time to relearn Class 11 topics. You can check the ISC subject syllabuses on the CISCE website.

What does checking add in ISC subjects?
- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics: step marks, so you see whether a lost mark came from the concept or the calculation.

There is one test for every chapter and two full-syllabus mock tests per subject, on the latest syllabus. Papers come back checked within 48 hours. Tests start on 20 October 2026 and the plan runs until 1 April 2027.
