CA Final Test Series and Mentorship

The Gradehunt CA Final test series is built for students sitting the November 2026 attempt, with papers on ICAI's pattern and answer sheets evaluated stepwise by expert Chartered Accountants. Press reports put the exam between 2 and 13 November 2026, so please confirm the dates on ICAI's own notice before you plan around them. That leaves roughly six weeks from today, which is enough time to write every paper twice if you stop reading and start writing.

If you are targeting May 2027 instead, the same papers and evaluation apply; only your schedule changes, and there is a suggested plan for that further down this page.

What you get in the CA Final test series

Every test series on this page covers the new scheme papers and includes the following as standard:

• Question papers set to ICAI's pattern and difficulty, not simplified versions.
• Answer sheets evaluated by expert CAs with 7 or more years of experience.
• A separate score for presentation, alongside your marks for content.
• Detailed comments on each part of every question, not a tick and a total.

Answer sheets come back in under 48 hours. At CA Final level that turnaround is the whole point. A paper returned three weeks later tells you about a version of yourself that no longer exists.

Choosing a format with six weeks left

The format you pick should match the time you actually have, not the time you wish you had. Availability varies by level and attempt, so check which batches are open on this page.

Fast Track Test Series — about 2 chapter-wise tests plus 1 full syllabus test per subject. This is the sensible default for November 2026. It gives you targeted practice on the heavy chapters and one full-length rehearsal per paper without eating the revision time you still need.

2 Full Syllabus Test Series — two full-length mocks per subject. Choose this if your reading is done and your only problem is the paper itself: speed, selection, presentation, and finishing on time.

Unscheduled Test Series — all papers released at once, written at your own pace. Useful if you are on study leave with an irregular routine, or if you are appearing for a single group and want to compress everything into the last three weeks.

The six new scheme papers

The CA Final syllabus under the new scheme has six papers across two groups. Test papers on this series follow the same structure and weightings.

Group I

• Financial Reporting. Ind AS consolidation and the long Ind AS questions decide this paper. Practice here is about clean working notes and a readable format, because a right answer buried in unlabelled workings loses marks.
• Advanced Financial Management. Calculation-heavy and easy to run out of time in. Write the full paper against the clock at least twice; attempting 70 marks perfectly is worse than attempting 95 well.
• Advanced Auditing, Assurance and Professional Ethics. Standards on Auditing, the Code of Ethics and the case-study style questions reward precise language. Marks come from naming the right SA and applying it, not from general discussion.

Group II

• Direct Tax Laws and International Taxation. Sections, provisos and the international taxation portion together. Check which Finance Act and assessment year apply to November 2026 before you start writing answers.
• Indirect Tax Laws. GST forms the bulk, with Customs behind it. Amendments matter more here than almost anywhere else in the course.
• Integrated Business Solutions. The four-hour multidisciplinary case study paper. It is unlike anything else you have written: long cases, information drawn from several subjects at once, and a real risk of mismanaging time. Do not leave your first attempt at this paper until the exam hall.

Integrated Business Solutions is the single strongest argument for writing full-length tests. Four hours of sustained reading and writing is a physical skill, and it is learned only by doing it.

How the evaluation actually works

You are not short of study material. What you are usually short of is an honest outside opinion on what your answer sheet looks like to a stranger with 200 more to mark.

Each script is read by a CA with at least seven years of experience, who marks it stepwise against a published scheme. You receive comments part by part: where a working note was missing, where a section was quoted wrongly, where the conclusion did not follow from the computation, where you wrote three paragraphs that earned the marks of one line.

Presentation is scored separately, because in our evaluators' experience it is worth 10 to 12 marks per paper. Headings, underlined section references, notes below the computation, answers in the order asked. At Final level, where candidates cluster close to 50, that band is often the whole margin.

After evaluation you can raise a doubt on any question in that test and get a reply within 24 hours, so a mistake does not sit unexplained until your next sitting. A six-week plan to November 2026

Counting back from 2 November, and assuming study leave.

Weeks 1 and 2 (late September to early October). Pick the three subjects you are least confident about and write chapter-wise tests on their heaviest chapters. Two tests a week. Do not revise a chapter immediately before its test; you want to know what survives without a fresh reading.

Week 3 (mid-October). Start full-length papers. One per subject, three hours, no breaks, no notes. Begin with Group I if you are writing both groups. Read the evaluation comments the day they arrive and write down the two mistakes that repeat.

Week 4 (late October). Finish the first full-length round, including Integrated Business Solutions at its full four hours. Confirm your exam centre details and admit card. Check the amendment cut-offs for Direct Tax, Indirect Tax and Auditing.

Weeks 5 and 6 (to 2 November). Second full-length round only for the papers where round one went badly, plus MCQs and subject-wise notes for everything else. In the last five days, stop writing new tests and re-read your own evaluated scripts and the topper's sheets. They are more useful than any fresh material at that stage.

If you are writing for May 2027, run the same sequence stretched over about 20 weeks: chapter-wise tests through the study period, the first full-length round about ten weeks out, and the second in the final month.

Mentorship, if you want a schedule made for you

The mentorship programme is one-to-one interaction with an expert Chartered Accountant across your exam journey. The mentor builds a personalised schedule around your attempt, your group choice and the subjects you keep avoiding, then holds you to it. The test papers themselves are the same as the chapter-wise series; mentorship adds the planning and the follow-up. It is offered on its own or as a combo with the chapter-wise tests.

Students who have cleared one group and are stuck on the other, or who are working through articleship hours alongside preparation, tend to get the most from it.

How to enrol

Pick your level and format on the CA test series hub, choose your subjects or group, and you will get access to the papers and the submission portal. Answer sheets are uploaded through the portal and come back evaluated within 48 hours.

Whatever you choose, book early enough to actually write the papers. A test series bought in the last fortnight and left unwritten is the most common way students waste this.
