The complete guide
ICSE Class 9 Test Series
How does Class 9 fit into the ICSE course?
CISCE sets the ICSE syllabus for Classes 9 and 10 together, and the board exam comes at the end of Class 10. The Class 10 portion builds on Class 9, so the topics you study this year are not a warm-up; they are half of the course. You can read the subject syllabuses on the CISCE website under Regulations and Syllabuses.
Class 9 is also when ICSE papers start to look like board papers: Section A short questions, longer Section B questions with internal choice in many subjects, and marks for each step.
Which ICSE Class 9 subjects are covered?
- English Language
- English Literature
- Hindi
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- History and Civics
- Geography
- Computer Applications
Where do ICSE Class 9 students lose marks?
- Mathematics: skipped steps and missing reasons in geometry proofs.
- Physics and Chemistry: missing units, unbalanced equations and incomplete definitions.
- Biology and Geography: unlabelled or partly labelled diagrams and maps.
- English Literature: answers that retell the story instead of answering the question with reference to the text.
- Computer Applications: programs that work in the student's head but are written without proper structure or comments.
Every checked paper points these out answer by answer, within 48 hours of upload.
How does the ICSE Class 9 test series work?
There is one test for every chapter and two full-syllabus mock tests per subject, on the latest syllabus. Tests start on 20 October 2026 and the plan runs until 1 April 2027. The Mentorship plan adds daily targets and a study schedule; the Full Syllabus Mock Tests plan gives only the two mocks per subject.
For the board year, our ICSE Class 10 test series uses the same checking method. Try one paper free first.
