Why get checked

Why not just practise alone?

Sample papers are useful. What they can't do is tell you where marks were lost.

The complete guide

ICSE Class 6 to 9 and ISC Class 11 test series: how to use them well

ICSE schools ask students to manage many separate subjects from an early age, and each subject has its own way of answering. A good test series helps a student learn those answer styles one chapter at a time. This guide explains what changes from Class 6 to Class 11, which subjects are covered and where students most often lose marks.

Subjects covered

  • ICSE Class 6, 7, 8 and 9: English Language, English Literature, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History and Civics, Geography and Computer Applications.
  • ISC Class 11: English Language, English Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Accounts, Economics, Business Studies, Computer Science and Physical Education. Class 11 is subject-wise, with no fixed streams.

Each subject has one test for every chapter and two full-syllabus mock tests, on the latest syllabus, checked step-wise by subject experts within 48 hours of upload.

Class 6 and 7: ten subjects, ten ways of answering

With Physics, Chemistry and Biology taught separately and English split into two papers, a young ICSE student can have ten subjects to keep up with. Chapter tests keep each one moving, and the remarks show how a good answer looks in that subject. A History and Civics answer, for example, is marked on points and dates, while a Physics answer is marked on the formula, the working and the unit. See the ICSE Class 6 and ICSE Class 7 test series.

Class 8: the year before the ICSE course

CISCE sets the ICSE syllabus for Classes 9 and 10 together, so Class 8 is the last year before that two-year course begins. Students who enter Class 9 confident in algebra, chemical equations and map work find the course much easier to follow. Start with the ICSE Class 8 test series.

Class 9: half of the ICSE course

Class 9 is the first year of the course that ends in the ICSE board exam, so its topics count towards that exam rather than being a warm-up. You can read each subject's syllabus on the CISCE website under Regulations and Syllabuses. See the ICSE Class 9 test series.

ISC Class 11: the start of a second two-year course

CISCE sets the ISC syllabus for Classes 11 and 12 together. Class 11 brings a clear step up, with more abstract Physics and Mathematics, Accounts as a full subject and longer critical answers in English Literature. Because the Class 11 exam is a school exam, it is easy to let it slide, and that usually costs time in Class 12. See the ISC Class 11 test series.

Where ICSE and ISC students lose marks

  • Physics: answers without units, or numericals that skip the formula.
  • Chemistry: unbalanced equations and missing conditions.
  • Biology and Geography: diagrams and maps that are drawn but not fully labelled.
  • English Literature: answers that retell the story instead of answering the question with reference to the text.
  • Computer Applications and Computer Science: written programs without clear structure, so the logic is hard for an examiner to follow.

Every checked copy marks these answer by answer, and doubts about any remark are answered by faculty.

Plans and dates

Tests start from 20 October 2026, and the plans run until 1 April 2027. The Test Series plan gives every chapter test and both mocks. The Mentorship Program adds daily targets and a study schedule, and the Full Syllabus Mock Tests plan gives only the two mocks per subject.
