The complete guide

ICSE Class 8 Test Series

Why Class 8 is a preparation year for ICSE

CISCE sets the ICSE syllabus for Classes 9 and 10 together, and the board exam at the end of Class 10 expects a steady base built over both years. Class 8 is the last year before that course starts. Students who enter Class 9 strong in algebra, chemical equations and map work find the ICSE course far easier to keep up with.

Chapter tests in Class 8 show which of these basics are shaky while there is still a full year to fix them.

Which ICSE Class 8 subjects are covered?

  • English Language
  • English Literature
  • Hindi
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • History and Civics
  • Geography
  • Computer Applications

Computer Applications is worth starting seriously in Class 8, because the ICSE course in Classes 9 and 10 moves into programming, and a written test is a good check of whether the logic is clear.

What do you get with each test?

  • One test for every chapter, plus two full-syllabus mock tests per subject, on the latest syllabus.
  • Checking within 48 hours, with marks for each answer and each step.
  • Remarks on what a full ICSE-style answer needs in that subject.

Tests start on 20 October 2026 and the plan runs until 1 April 2027.

Which plan fits ICSE Class 8?

The Test Series plan covers every chapter test and both mocks. The Mentorship plan adds daily targets and a study schedule, which helps students build a routine before Class 9. The Full Syllabus Mock Tests plan gives the two mocks per subject for practice before the annual exam.
