The complete guide
CBSE Class 6 Test Series
Why start written tests in Class 6?
Class 6 is the first year of the middle stage, and it is where the questions change shape. Up to Class 5, most answers are a word or a line. From Class 6, the new NCERT books ask children to explain, compare and give reasons, and that is a skill that only improves with practice and feedback.
A test series at this age is not about marks. It builds the habit of reading a question carefully, writing in full sentences and showing working in Maths, so that by Class 9 and 10 this is routine rather than something learnt under pressure.
Which Class 6 books and subjects are covered?
We cover English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science and Social Science. The papers follow the NCERT books schools use for Class 6 in 2026-27:
- Mathematics: Ganita Prakash
- Science: Curiosity
- Social Science: Exploring Society: India and Beyond
- English: Poorvi
- Hindi: Malhar
- Sanskrit: Deepakam
You can see the books themselves on the NCERT textbook site.
How does the Class 6 test series work?
- Pick the subjects you want. There is one test for every chapter, plus two full-syllabus mock tests per subject.
- Your child writes the paper at home on A4 sheets or a notebook, the way they would in school.
- Upload a clear scan of the answer sheet. It comes back checked within 48 hours, with marks on every answer and remarks on what was missing.
Tests start on 20 October 2026, and the plan runs until 1 April 2027, so there is time to write each chapter test as the school finishes that chapter.
Which plan suits a Class 6 student?
The Test Series plan gives every chapter test and both mock tests. The Mentorship plan adds daily targets and a study schedule, which helps families who want a steady routine without planning it themselves. If your child only needs exam practice before the annual exams, the Full Syllabus Mock Tests plan gives the two mocks per subject on their own.
