The complete guide

CBSE Class 8 Test Series

Why does Class 8 matter more than it seems?

Class 8 closes the middle stage. In Class 9, CBSE students meet a much bigger syllabus, and according to news reports of CBSE's revised curriculum for 2026-27, Class 9 Maths and Science now have two levels: a standard paper for everyone and an optional advanced paper. Students who reach Class 9 with strong basics and a habit of showing working are the ones who can choose the advanced level with confidence.

Gaps in Class 8 Maths, especially in algebra and in working with fractions and ratios, tend to show up again in Class 9. A chapter test is the quickest way to find them.

Which Class 8 subjects are covered?

English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science and Social Science, on the NCERT books schools use for Class 8 in 2026-27, such as Ganita Prakash for Maths, Curiosity for Science and Exploring Society: India and Beyond for Social Science.

What does a checked Class 8 paper show you?

  • Marks for every answer and every step in Maths and Science numericals.
  • Remarks on what was missing: a reason, a diagram label, a unit, an example.
  • Which chapters need another look before the annual exam, based on the marks pattern across tests.

There is one test for every chapter and two full-syllabus mock tests per subject. Tests start on 20 October 2026 and the plan runs until 1 April 2027.

Test series or mentorship for Class 8?

If your child is organised and only needs practice and feedback, the Test Series plan is enough. If planning is the problem, the Mentorship plan adds daily targets and a study schedule on top of the tests. For practice only before the annual exams, the Full Syllabus Mock Tests plan gives the two mocks per subject.
