Board Exam Date 2027: All Boards Class 10 and 12

Six boards have put out their 2027 exam dates so far, and CBSE is not one of them. As of 13 October 2026, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal (Class 10), Gujarat and Karnataka (provisional) have announced their windows. CBSE, CISCE, Bihar, Rajasthan, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana are still to release theirs. This page lists every board in one place and will be updated as each date sheet comes out.

Every 2027 board exam announced so far falls between 5 February and 5 April, and the boards still to announce have started in February or March for years.

TL;DR

• Earliest start announced: UP Board, 5 February 2027. Latest: Karnataka SSLC Exam 1, 22 March to 5 April (provisional).
• CBSE 2027 date sheet: not released. Last year both classes began on 17 February 2026.

Which boards have announced 2027 exam dates?

Dates are as published by each board or reported from its notice. Where the board has called them tentative or provisional, I have said so.

Maharashtra (MSBSHSE)

Press note of 17 September 2026. SSC (Class 10) written papers from 15 February to 11 March 2027, with practicals, orals and internal assessment from 28 January to 13 February. HSC (Class 12) written papers from 8 February to 16 March 2027, with practicals from 20 January to 6 February. The subject-wise time table is yet to come. Madhya Pradesh (MPBSE)

Time table notice dated 13 August 2026 on mpbse.nic.in. Class 10 main exams from 24 February to 18 March 2027, single shift 9 AM to 12 noon, with Hindi on 2 March, Mathematics on 5 March, English on 9 March, Science on 15 March and Social Science on 18 March. The Class 12 schedule was released the same day; portals disagree on its first day, so take it from the board PDF.

Uttar Pradesh (UPMSP)

Press statement of 12 October 2026. High School and Intermediate exams both run from 5 to 24 February 2027. High School papers are in the morning, 8.30 to 11.45 AM, and Intermediate papers in the afternoon, 2 to 5.15 PM. Hindi is the first paper for both classes. The day-wise PDF is on upmsp.edu.in.

West Bengal (WBBSE), Class 10

Madhyamik routine released on 13 July 2026. Exams from 15 to 25 February 2027, 11 AM to 2 PM with 15 minutes of reading time from 10.45. First Language on 15 February, Mathematics on 22 February, Physical Science on 23 and Life Science on 24. The Class 12 Semester IV routine from WBCHSE is still awaited.

Gujarat (GSEB)

The board's 2026-27 academic calendar, reported on 29 September 2026, places the SSC and HSC board exams from 25 February to 17 March 2027, with Class 12 Science practicals from 5 to 13 February. The subject-wise time table is expected in November. Our Gujarat board exam date 2027 post tracks it.

Karnataka (KSEAB), provisional

Provisional time tables released in the second week of October 2026, with objections open until 22 October. SSLC Exam 1 from 22 March to 5 April 2027 and Exam 2 from 24 to 31 May. 2nd PUC Exam 1 from 27 February to 17 March 2027 and Exam 2 in May. Papers run from 10 AM. Final dates will follow on kseab.karnataka.gov.in, and our Karnataka SSLC and 2nd PUC dates post will carry them.

Six boards have fixed their 2027 windows, from UP's 5 February start to Karnataka's provisional 5 April finish.

Which boards are still to announce 2027 dates?

• CBSE (Class 10 and 12): not released as of 13 October. See the CBSE date sheet 2027 post for the expected timeline.
• CISCE (ICSE and ISC): the 2026 date sheet came out on 13 November 2025, so expect November. Our ICSE 2027 dates and ISC 2027 dates posts will update first.
• Bihar (BSEB): the routine usually comes in November. In 2025, Inter ran from 1 to 15 February and Matric from 17 to 25 February.
• Rajasthan (RBSE): in 2026, Class 10 ran from 12 to 28 February and Class 12 from 12 February to 11 March. No 2027 notice yet.
• Telangana (TGBIE and BSE): the Inter time table came on 31 October last year and the SSC time table on 9 December. See our Telangana exam dates post.
• Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP and BSEAP): exam fee payment for Inter 2027 is open until 29 October, exams expected in March. See our AP exam dates post.
• Punjab (PSEB): exam forms for February-March 2027 are open, without late fee until 23 October 2026. Date sheet awaited. See our Punjab board dates post.
• Haryana (BSEH): date sheet usually comes in January. See our Haryana board dates post.

Eight boards are still to publish. Going by last year, CISCE and Bihar should be next, in November.

When will CBSE release the 2027 date sheet?

CBSE had not published the Class 10 or Class 12 date sheet on cbse.gov.in as of 13 October 2026. The 2026 pattern is the best guide: both classes began on 17 February 2026, Class 10 ended on 10 March and Class 12 on 9 April. For 2027, CBSE's scheme has a compulsory Class 10 exam in February-March and an optional second Class 10 exam in May. Practicals for winter-bound schools are in November-December, and for all other schools in January-February.

Until the PDF is on cbse.gov.in, treat every date you see for CBSE 2027 as a guess.

How should you plan when your date sheet is not out?

Count back from 1 February. Nearly every board starts within three weeks of that date, so your syllabus should be finished once by the end of December whatever board you are in. January is for pre-boards and full papers written by hand in the real time slot.

If your board has announced, print the window and work out the gaps. UP students have twenty days for everything. MP Class 10 students have three days between Mathematics and English and six between Science and Social Science. Those gaps decide the revision order.

If your board has not announced, the date you need is your school's pre-board, which will be in January for almost everyone. That is the first full rehearsal, and the paper you write there is the one to get checked properly.
