The dates come from the board's academic calendar for 2026-27. The subject-wise timetable has not been released yet, and we will add it here as soon as it is.
Gujarat Board 2027 dates at a glance
- SSC and HSC board exams: 25 February to 17 March 2027

GSEB's calendar notes that these dates can change if the state government asks for a revision, so keep an eye on the official site, gseb.org, for the final circular.
When will the subject-wise timetable come out?
Last year, GSEB published the detailed 2026 timetable in November 2025, about three months before the first paper. If the board follows the same rhythm, the 2027 subject-wise timetable should appear around November 2026, after the Diwali break.
Until then, plan with what you already know. A 21-day window for all SSC and HSC papers means most students will get only one or two free days between major subjects, so revision has to be finished well before 25 February, not squeezed in between papers.
What happened in 2026
The 2026 board exams started on 26 February and were scheduled to end on 16 March. Papers set for 4 March were moved, and those exams were held between 16 and 18 March instead. SSC papers ran in the morning (10:00 am to 1:15 pm), and HSC papers in the afternoon.
Results came out quickly: HSC on 4 May 2026, with a pass rate of 92.71% in the General stream and 84.33% in Science, and SSC on 6 May 2026, with an overall pass rate of 83.86%.
So the 2027 calendar is close to last year's, starting a day earlier and finishing a day later. Expect a similar morning and afternoon split when the timetable is out.
A 2027 study plan that fits GSEB's calendar
The calendar gives you a clear set of checkpoints. Use them:
- Before the first term exam (22 October): finish the chapters taught so far and note the ones you found hardest.
- Diwali vacation (5 to 25 November): three weeks with no school. Catch up on weak chapters, and write one full paper in each main subject under exam conditions.
- December: complete the syllabus. HSC Science students should finish practical files now, not in February.
- Prelims (18 to 28 January): treat these as the real thing. When your papers come back, check where marks went: missing steps, incomplete diagrams, or a last question you didn't reach.
- February: practicals and school exams for board subjects early in the month, then revise from your own mistakes until 25 February.

HSC Commerce and Science students
When the subject-wise timetable is out, check the gaps first: before Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology if you are in Science, and before Accountancy and Economics if you are in Commerce. Where to check official updates
Use GSEB's own websites: gseb.org for circulars and timetables, and result.gseb.org on result day. Schools receive the timetable at the same time. Treat any timetable forwarded on WhatsApp before GSEB announces it as unverified.
