Karnataka SSLC & 2nd PUC Exam Date 2027: KSEAB Tentative Timetable

KSEAB has released the tentative 2027 timetable for Karnataka 2nd PUC and SSLC. 2nd PUC Exam 1 runs from 27 February to 17 March 2027, and SSLC Exam 1 from 22 March to 5 April 2027. These are tentative dates: the board will publish the final timetable after taking objections, so check kseab.karnataka.gov.in before you lock in your plans.

Karnataka board exam dates 2027 at a glance

• 2nd PUC Exam 1: 27 February to 17 March 2027
• 2nd PUC Exam 2: May 2027 (reported as 3 to 15 May)
• SSLC Exam 1: 22 March to 5 April 2027
• SSLC Exam 2: late May 2027 (reported as 24 to 31 May)

Exam 1 is the main board exam. Exam 2 gives students a second chance to improve their marks or clear a subject, as it did in 2026.

2nd PUC Exam 1: subject-wise dates (tentative)

• 27 February: Kannada, Arabic
• 1 March: English
• 2 March: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit, French
• 3 March: Geography, Psychology
• 4 March: Sociology, Physics
• 5 March: Accountancy
• 8 March: Chemistry, Education, Basic Mathematics
• 9 March: Economics, Geology
• 12 March: Business Studies, Mathematics
• 13 March: Optional Kannada, Logic, Home Science
• 15 March: Political Science, Biology, Computer Science
• 16 March: History
• 17 March: Hindi

Vocational subjects (IT, Retail, Automobile, Health Care and others) are scheduled for 11 March. Science students get one or two clear days before Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, so use them.

SSLC Exam 1: subject-wise dates (tentative)

• 22 March: First Language
• 25 March: Science, Political Science, Hindustani Music, Carnatic Music
• 27 March: Second Language (English or Kannada)
• 30 March: Mathematics, Sociology
• 2 April: Third Language and NSQF vocational subjects
• 3 April: JTS subjects
• 5 April: Social Science

Science comes early, only three days after the First Language paper, so plan to have it fully revised before 22 March rather than in the gap.

How 2027 compares with 2026

• 2026: 2nd PUC Exam 1 ran from 28 February to 17 March; SSLC Exam 1 from 18 March to 2 April; SSLC Exam 2 from 18 to 25 May.
• 2027: almost the same 2nd PUC window, while SSLC Exam 1 starts four days later, on 22 March.

The 2026 timetables came out in November 2025. This year KSEAB has published the tentative schedule a month earlier, which gives you more time to plan around it.

A plan that fits the 2027 dates

• 2nd PUC students: finish the syllabus by December, use January for preparatory exams and February for practicals and full papers.
• SSLC students: you have until late March. Finish the syllabus by January, then write one full paper a week in each core subject.
• After every full paper, check where marks went: missing steps in Maths, unlabelled diagrams in Science, or a last question you never reached. Fixing these is faster than learning new chapters.
