CBSE Class 12 Maths Previous Year Question Papers with Solutions (2020-2025)

Download CBSE Class 12 Mathematics board papers from 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, three sets for each year, with step-by-step solutions, from the table below. There was no 2021 board paper, because CBSE cancelled the Class 12 exams that year.

CBSE Class 12 Maths paper pattern (2026-27)

• Theory: 80 marks, 3 hours. Internal assessment adds 20 marks.
• 38 questions in five sections: 18 MCQs and 2 assertion-reason questions of 1 mark each, 5 two-mark questions, 6 three-mark questions, 4 five-mark questions and 3 four-mark case-study questions.
• Internal choices in some questions, no overall choice.

• Relations and Functions: 8
• Algebra (Matrices and Determinants): 10
• Calculus: 35
• Vectors and Three-Dimensional Geometry: 14
• Linear Programming: 5
• Probability: 8

If time is short, Calculus and Vectors with 3D Geometry together make up 49 marks, more than half the paper.

How to practise with these papers

• Do 2025 and 2024 first; they match the current 38-question pattern.
• Use 2022 only for extra questions, since that exam was term-wise.
• Write each paper in three hours without a calculator or notes, as in the exam.
• Mark every question step by step against the solutions. In CBSE Maths, the method carries most of the marks, not the final answer.
• Note every question where you got stuck on the first step. That list is your revision plan for the next week.

Where students lose marks in Maths

• Skipping steps in integration and differentiation, so an arithmetic slip costs the whole answer instead of one mark.
• Forgetting the constant of integration, or the conditions in a definite integral.
• Linear programming graphs without the feasible region shaded or corner points checked.
• Probability answers with no statement of the events, which makes partial marks impossible to award.
• Case-study questions rushed at the end, even though each part is short and scoring.
