Best Faculty for CA Inter Law: Corporate and Other Laws (January and May 2027)

There is no single best faculty for CA Inter Law. Choose on four things: the language you follow best, live or recorded classes, the weeks left before your attempt, and the part of Paper 2 you find hardest. The seven faculty below are in alphabetical order, not ranked, with only the facts they publish.

Listed as a CA and CS. About 125 hours in a Hindi-English mix, recorded in July 2026, on Google Drive with books, for January, May and September 2027. Listed as a CA and CS with ranks at all four levels. 165 hours (66 lectures) in a Hindi-English mix, on Google Drive, app or live, with 12 months' validity and a 1.6x or 2x view limit. CA Karan Kumar

Listed as a CA and CS with an All India Rank. About 170 hours (80 lectures) in a Hindi-English mix, with 12 months' validity and a 1.7x view limit, at ₹5,999 with three books. CA Shubham Singhal

Listed as CA Final All India Rank 4. 160 to 180 hours (65 lectures) in a Hindi-English mix, live or on Google Drive, recorded in July 2026, for January, May and September 2027. CA Siddharth Agarwal

Listed as CA Final Rank 19 (November 2009). 170 hours (75 classes) in a Hindi-English mix, live, on Google Drive or app, with a 1.5x view limit. With about ten weeks to January 2027, a 165-hour course on top of Papers 1 and 3 is too long for most students; four of these faculty also list shorter fast-track or exam-oriented courses. Only a demo shows how someone teaches.

What must a good Law faculty cover for January and May 2027?

How is Paper 2 set?

Corporate and Other Laws is 100 marks in 3 hours; for January 2027 it is on Monday, 4 January, 2 PM to 5 PM. ICAI's guidance note for the Intermediate exam gives 30 marks to MCQs (1 or 2 marks each, no negative marking) and 70 to descriptive questions.

Where do the marks sit?

ICAI's section-wise weightage, as a share of each part:

• Part I, 70 marks: incorporation to debentures 20% to 30%; deposits, charges and management 20% to 30%; dividend, accounts, audit and foreign companies 30% to 35%; LLP Act 15% to 20%.
• Part II, 30 marks: General Clauses Act 35% to 40%, interpretation of statutes 25% to 30%, FEMA 30% to 40%.

Which amendments apply to your attempt?

January 2027 uses the July 2024 study material (reprint August 2025) plus ICAI's Paper 2 amendment list for 1 May 2025 to 30 June 2026, which includes:

• Small company limits up from ₹4 crore and ₹40 crore to ₹10 crore paid-up capital and ₹100 crore turnover.
• New Board's report disclosures on sexual harassment complaints and Maternity Benefit Act compliance.
• CSR through zero coupon zero principal instruments on the Social Stock Exchange, up to 10% of CSR spend.

For May 2027, ICAI's July 2026 edition covers changes up to 30 June 2026; later ones will be announced separately. No May 2027 list was out on 23 October 2026.

How should a law answer be written?

ICAI's suggested answers go provision, facts, conclusion. In Question 1(a) of the May 2024 Paper 2, holders of 40,000 of 50,000 Class 2 shares agreed in writing to vary voting rights, and holders of 4,500 wanted to go to the Tribunal.

The answer states section 48 first: consent of three-fourths of the class, and a Tribunal route for non-consenting holders of at least 10%. Then the facts: 80% agreed, so the variation stands, and 4,500 is below 5,000, so the dissenters cannot apply. More in our CA Inter Law answer writing guide.

How do you judge a Law demo lecture?

Watch one company law demo and one Part II demo, then:

1. Check that the faculty reads out the section before explaining it.
2. Look for a full question solved in provision, facts, conclusion order.
3. Ask whether the notes carry the January 2027 amendment list.
4. Check that the course ends before your revision month.

• No section stated, so the answer reads as an opinion.
• Pre-amendment figures where ICAI's list has changed them.
• Part II left for the last week, though it carries 30 marks.
