ICAI CA Final Question Papers and Suggested Answers
CA Final November 2026 starts on 2 November, so you have about six weeks left. At this stage, the best material you can practise from is what ICAI itself publishes: past question papers, CA Final suggested answers, Revision Test Papers (RTPs) and Mock Test Papers (MTPs). All of it is free on ICAI's websites.
This guide covers where to download each one, what each contains, which attempts are available right now, and how to fit them into your last few weeks before the exam.
CA Final November 2026 at a glance
ICAI has announced that from May 2026, CA Final exams are held twice a year, in May and November (as reported by Careers360; check the ICAI notice). Before that, Final was held three times a year (January, May and September). So the attempt after November 2026 is May 2027.
According to the date sheet as reported in the press (Careers360), the November 2026 papers are on:
- 2, 4, 6, 9 and 11 November 2026 for Papers 1 to 5, from 2 pm to 5 pm
- 13 November 2026 for Paper 6, from 2 pm to 6 pm
Always confirm dates and timings against the latest ICAI notice and your admit card.
Where to download CA Final suggested answers officially
ICAI's Board of Studies (BoS) runs the BoS Knowledge Portal at boslive.icai.org. The CA Final resources are grouped as tiles on its home page. The path is:
- Open the BoS Knowledge Portal home page.
- Scroll down to the resource tiles and click Suggested Answers.
- Pick Final. This takes you to ICAI's page Suggested Answer - Final Course on icai.org.
- Click the attempt you want (for example, May 2026). You then see each paper listed separately, with a PDF per paper.
For question papers, use the Previous Year Question Papers - New Scheme tile on the same home page, then choose Final. This opens ICAI's Question Papers - Final Course page.
The portal also has a separate Previous Year Suggested Answers tile.
Download only from icai.org or boslive.icai.org. ICAI's pages carry an IPR notice saying the copyright belongs only to ICAI, so websites that re-host the PDFs may carry outdated or altered versions.
Which attempts are available (new scheme)
When we checked (22 September 2026), ICAI's CA Final suggested answers page listed these new-scheme attempts:
- May 2026
- January 2026 (plus a Hindi version)
- September 2025 (plus a Hindi version)
- May 2025
- November 2024
- May 2024
The question papers page lists the same six attempts, from May 2026 back to May 2024. That gives you six full sets of new-scheme papers to practise with.
Papers covered in the new scheme
Every attempt above follows the same six-paper structure:
Group I
- Paper 1: Financial Reporting
- Paper 2: Advanced Financial Management
- Paper 3: Advanced Auditing, Assurance and Professional Ethics
Group II
- Paper 4: Direct Tax Laws & International Taxation
- Paper 5: Indirect Tax Laws
- Paper 6: Integrated Business Solutions (Multidisciplinary Case Study with Strategic Management)
What is inside each resource
These four resources do different jobs, so it helps to know how each one works.
Question papers
These are the actual papers set in each attempt, published paper by paper. Use them to learn how questions are framed and how marks are split, and to find out whether you can finish in three hours (four for Paper 6).
Suggested answers
The suggested answer PDF for each paper gives the questions together with ICAI's answers. The May 2026 Direct Tax Laws & International Taxation PDF, for example, starts with "Part – I Multiple Choice Questions", which is built around integrated case studies. It also states the assessment year the questions relate to. That detail matters, because tax answers from older attempts may be based on law that has since changed.
The May 2026 and January 2026 pages also have group-wise suggested answers (a single PDF for Group I and another for Group II). The January 2026 page also includes a Summary of Examiner's Comment for each group. Read it: it points out where students commonly lost marks.
Revision Test Papers (RTPs)
RTPs are revision question sets that BoS releases for a specific upcoming attempt. The portal's Final RTP page already lists November 2026, along with earlier attempts going back to May 2024 (including some Hindi-medium versions). Since the RTP is written for your own attempt, go through it closely in your final revision.
Mock Test Papers (MTPs)
MTPs are full-length practice papers that ICAI sets to a timetable, much like the real exam. For November 2026, ICAI's announcement dated 10 August 2026 set out:
- Series I from 9 September 2026 (now over)
- Series II from 23 September 2026
- Both series in physical and virtual mode. Students who want to write in physical mode can contact their local ICAI branch.
News coverage of the schedule reports that each paper runs from 2 pm to 5 pm and that the papers are released on the BoS Knowledge Portal and the BoS mobile app. Check the official announcement for the exact times of Paper 6.
In short: question papers and suggested answers show you what ICAI actually asked. RTPs and MTPs are practice material written for the coming attempt.
How to use them before CA Final November 2026
With about six weeks left, you need a plan that fits the time. Here is one approach.
Weeks 1–2: finish the RTP and one past paper per subject
- Solve the November 2026 RTP one subject at a time and mark the questions you got wrong.
- Solve the May 2026 question paper for each subject before you open its suggested answer.
- Check your work against the suggested answer. Look beyond the final figure: see how ICAI sets out working notes, cites sections or standards, and states assumptions.
Weeks 3–4: timed papers
- Write two or three more past papers (January 2026 and September 2025 are good picks) under strict exam timing.
- For Paper 6, Integrated Business Solutions, practise the full four-hour case study format at least twice. It tests how you combine subjects, which a chapter-wise revision cannot prepare you for.
- For Papers 4 and 5, check the assessment year or the amendments applicable to November 2026 before you trust an older suggested answer.
- If you want someone to mark these timed papers, the CA Final test series gives you evaluated full-syllabus papers, so you can see how your answers compare with the ICAI standard.
Last two weeks: review, not new material
- Re-read the Summary of Examiner's Comment for each group.
- Go back through the questions you marked wrong earlier and redo them without looking.
- Keep your paper-writing practice going, but shorten it to sections (for example, only the MCQ part or one long question) so that you stay fresh.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Only reading answers. Reading a suggested answer feels productive, but it doesn't train you to write under time pressure. Solve first, then compare.
- Using old-scheme papers blindly. The six-paper new scheme has different subjects and paper names. Stick to the new-scheme attempts listed above, and use older material only for concepts that are still in the syllabus.
- Skipping the tax law check. Direct and indirect tax answers depend on the law applicable to that attempt.
- Ignoring presentation. Suggested answers show how ICAI expects answers to be set out. Copy that structure, not the exact words.
How a test series helps alongside ICAI material
Suggested answers tell you what a good answer looks like. They can't tell you how your own answer would be marked. A test series fills that gap: you write papers in exam conditions, and an evaluator marks them step by step and shows where you lost marks on presentation, working notes or missed points.

What is the difference between an RTP and an MTP?
